McCann New York has made two new appointments to its business leadership team. Joining Nikki Maizel, head of business leadership and managing partner, is Ken Mulligan, who comes over from VML, and Rebecca Kluin, who was promoted to managing partner. All will report to McCann New York CEO Amber Guild.

Maizel, Kluin, and Mulligan will be responsible for pushing collaboration among interdisciplinary teams across business leadership, creative and strategy leaders. They are also charged with cultivating a culture of belonging and growth for the agency’s talent.

“It’s a transformative era for McCann New York. We have redesigned our organizational structure with a new wave of leadership in Nikki, Ken and Rebecca to accelerate agility and expertise around creative solutions for our clients,” said Guild in a statement.

Kluin and Mulligan join Maizel to lead the agency’s diverse client roster, which includes Reckitt brands, TJX Companies, Prudential, Smirnoff, Converse, Microsoft, New York Lottery and State Street Global Advisors, among others.

Mulligan joins McCann New York from WPP’s VML. Over the last 20 years, he has led initiatives for brands including Amazon, Samsung, Sony, COTY, P&G, Reckitt and Johnson & Johnson. With extensive experience in new business, Mulligan brings a strong focus on growth across client partnerships, team development and agency capabilities. Mulligan is also committed to cultivating an inclusive culture.

Kluin has been with McCann Worldgroup for more than 17 years, working across APAC, EU, MENA and North American markets. She is an integrated brand leader with an understanding of how to drive brands at the local, national and global level. She most recently spearheaded L’Oreal’s NYX Professional Makeup brand through its Super Bowl debut, marking the brand’s 25th anniversary.

The two will team with Maizel, who has over two decades of experience leading integrated marketing initiatives across telco, retail, consumer electronics, gaming, casual dining and consumer packaged goods industries. Her leadership on the New York Lottery account has resulted in two successful recompetes for McCann Worldgroup.

McCann has had several recent business wins, including PwC. The agency recently announced the redesign and investment to strengthening its key capability offerings, including McCann content studios, the network’s social, content creation and influencer strategy practice, design practice and audience and connections expertise.
