-Cast Iron LA is a fairly new agency started by Luis Ramirez and J Barbush, a couple of RPA veterans. The two decided to show that old dogs can make new ads that connect—and so they put together a promo reel to get potential clients interested, challenging old models with an approach of “participation leads to inspiration.” The video pokes a bit of fun at the agency world while courting clients that jibe with their vibe. Current clients include Hilti, East West Bank, Shook & Stone Law and Erbaviva skin care.

-Little Caesars and the NFL are entering a multi-year sponsorship agreement that names the chain as the official pizza sponsor of the National Football League.


-In addition to offering its iconic physical One Show 2022 Pencils to this year’s winners, The One Club for Creativity will be the first industry awards show to also mint NFTs exclusively for Special Awards winners in this year’s competition. One NFT will be minted for each winner of a One Show Special Award, including Best of Show, Best of Disciplines, CMO Pencil, Green Pencil, Fusion Pencil, SDG Pencil, and global “of the Year” winners.

-Spotify’s Culture Next Trends Report found that 73% of Gen Zs use audio to better understand themselves—and 68% said they like listening to and watching media from earlier decades, because it reminds them of when things were less complicated.

-Creative duo Quynh Tran and Toan Mai tested the folks at Cannes Lions when they created an alternative website to host the work from the festival. Now they have entered the site into the very awards they hacked.

-Grey Group CEO Michael Houston will take on the role of WPP’s U.S. president and pilot the nearly 20,000 U.S. employees.

-She Runs It, a non-profit that champions women across the marketing industry, has teamed with digitalundivided, a non-profit leveraging data, programs and advocacy to catalyze economic growth for Latina and Black women entrepreneurs, to launch the She Runs It x digitalundivided: START Program. This new program is an early-stage, start-up accelerator with a focus on recruiting women entrepreneurs in marketing, media and tech. The partnership will help jumpstart their emerging businesses—as the pandemic continues to bring swift industry disruption and workforce change.
