Marianne Stefanowicz has led communications at top creative agencies, most recently at TBWA\Media Arts Lab. After nearly a decade with TBWA Worldwide, Stefanowicz is joining independent agency Mother as its chief community and communications officer, reporting to CEO Peter Ravailhe.
In the newly created role, Stefanowicz will be responsible for internal and external communications across the portfolio of Mother Industries companies. She will be based in Los Angeles.
Last year, Mother redefined its mission, shifting “Make Our Mothers Proud” to “Make Our Children Proud,” a long term strategic plan to reconfigure the way Mother operates, in the hopes of creating the kind of company that is most attractive to the next generation of global talent. “Make Our Children Proud” will be something Stefanowicz will focus on bringing to life within the company and externally.
While the details on the “community” aspect of Stefanowicz’s job are still being ironed out, she will be responsible for building and engaging a creative and entrepreneurial problem-solving community, featuring Mother alumni and friends of the company.
“Mother’s string of recent hires and promotions is our latest intentional push to elevate talent as we grow and look to the future of our businesses. Our core mission, ‘Make our Children Proud,’ serves to leave the world better than we found it. Preserving our independence and doubling down on creativity and entrepreneurship are key tenets of that mission, and Marianne’s leadership will be crucial in leading us into the next generation of Mother,” said Ravailhe in a statement.
Stefanowicz has over 20 years of experience leading agency communications, both with TBWA and before that Droga5. She was at TBWA when it was named Adweek’s Global Agency of the Year in 2021.
“Mother is a creative company I’ve admired since the early days of my career in London,” said Stefanowicz in a statement. “The unwavering, independent creative spirit and entrepreneurial leadership, along with the diversification of the business make it one of the most exciting companies in the industry right now.”
