WCTI Names Tyler Hardin Evening Anchor

Tyler Hardin has been promoted to main evening anchor at WCTI in New Bern, N. C.

He replaces Frank Fraboni who retired from the ABC affiliate in November 2023.

Hardin will anchor the 5:30, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts and lead the News 12 Investigates Team. He will join Valentina Wilson at 6 p.m. and will anchor at 10 p.m. on News 12 on Fox (WYDO).

“I’m honored for this opportunity at News 12,” Hardin said. “I greatly value the trust placed in me from our community members. I look forward to sharing insightful and impactful stories from across Eastern North Carolina.”

Hardin’s broadcast career started at WCTI as a reporter from 2018-2020. He then moved to WGHP in Greensboro, N.C. He returned to Eastern North Carolina in 2022 to anchor News 12 on Fox at 10:00 p.m. and report for the News 12 Investigates Team.
