Longtime WCBS weekend morning anchor Andrea Grymes has been moved off the anchor desk.
Grymes posted the news to social media, saying, “Some bittersweet news- today was my last day anchoring our weekend morning show. The CBS bosses are making some changes, & that includes a new co-anchor for Doug (Williams). I’m disappointed but so thankful for this opportunity & the VIEWERS for watching.”
Grymes joined CBS New York as a general assignment reporter in July 2013.
“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed because I absolutely love this job … but such is the nature of the news business,” she wrote on Facebook. “God always has a plan! I’m so grateful to our bosses for trusting me in this chair for the time they have. They’ve offered to let me go back to reporting, so I am figuring out those details.”
