Salt Lake City Is Top Market for First Night of Peyongchang Winter Games

Competition got underway Thursday in Peyongchang for the XXIII Olympic Winter Games, even before the Opening Ceremony, which airs tonight on NBC (but has just concluded).

Several West Coast markets led the nation in viewing for last night’s programming, with 2002 Winter Olympics host city Salt Lake City leading nationally.

On KSL, NBC’s prime-time coverage averaged a 17.7 rating / 33 share; Sacramento’s KCRA was next with a 17.2 / 32 share. Rounding out the Top 10:
