WGCL Names Amanda Davis’ Replacement

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

WGCL has hired former WCBS morning anchor Shon Gables as the new co-anchor of CBS46 Morning News. Gables replaces Amanda Davis, who passed away after suffering a stroke.

She will join Gurvir Dhindsa starting March 5.

WGCL investigative reporter and noon anchor Karyn Greer had been filing in since the death of morning show co-anchor Amanda Davis in December. Greer will move to a new role as head of community outreach at the station.

Gables was last seen on television in Shreveport, Louisiana as an investigative reporter and anchor. Prior to that she had stints in Oklahoma City, Detroit, Dallas and New York.
