New York Anchors Celebrate Big Work Anniversaries Amid Covid-19 Crisis

Three New York City news anchors are celebrating work anniversaries this week.

WABC anchors Bill Ritter and Liz Cho marked 17 years as co-anchors this week at the ABC flagship station. That makes Ritter and Cho the longest-running evening news team in WABC history.

“The segment 17 years ago tonight when we welcomed @LizCho7 to @ABC7NY. We are now the longest running anchor team in the history of eyewitness news at WABC-TV. And our great friend @LeeGoldbergABC7 was there for moment 1,” Ritter wrote on Twitter.

He also posted a throwback video of the first time all three of them—Ritter, Cho and Goldberg—sat together at the evening anchor desk.

And in midtown at the CBS Broadcast Center, Chriss Wragge celebrated 16 years at WCBS.

The morning anchor has reported on-air from home, in the field and in various studios as the company tried to get ahead of the coronavirus pandemic.
