Juliet Huddy Signs Off WNYW

By Kevin Eck

Juliet Huddy officially announced her departure from Fox-owned WNYW this morning.

She was named Good Day Wakeup anchor in October 2013. She appeared on the show this morning just before 7 a.m. to tell viewers she was leaving to write a book and concentrate on music.

Huddy’s regular co-anchor Ben Simmoneau went to Boston in June.

She is the former host of The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, a syndicated morning show she anchored with Good Day Philadelphia anchor Mike Jerrick. Huddy returned to anchoring at Fox News Channel in 2009 after the show was cancelled, before joining WNYW in 2013.

Huddy’s bother John Huddy is a correspondent for Fox News. Both Juliet and John Huddy were brought into the Fox fold by former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, who was close to Huddy’s father, John.
