By Kevin Eck

WCBS morning anchor Chris Wragge was the top social media individual for August and Fox-owned WNYW was the top local station according to data from Share Rocket.

Wragge led Linda Church from WPIX, Rosanna Scotto from WNYW, Michelle Charlesworth from WABC and WNYW’s Audrey Puente with a 1.05 share.

On the station front, Fox-owned WNYW lead all other locals with a 34.04 share, beating closest competitor WABC which had a 26.93. The two outpaced WNBC (9.22), WPIX (7.49) and WCBS (2.70) by a wide margin.

A Share Rocket share represents the total share of audience, voice (posts) and engagement that a particular station is controlling for that period of time in their market. We measure all of the media assets in a local DMA and calculate the SHARE metrics every 15 minutes.

The breakdown below shows Wragge tweets most on Thursday nights and posts to Facebook most between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. in the morning.
