Boston FOX Affiliate Names New Weekend Evening Anchor, Adds Two More Reporters

hopkins_wfxtElizabeth Hopkins, who anchors and reports for WFXT has been named weekend evening anchor. Lee Rosenthal, news director for the Boston FOX affiliate, told TVSpy she will also “fill in our 5-7:00 pm and 10-11:30 pm newscasts”

One week from Monday, two reporters from Cox sister stations will also join WFXT. Kerry Kavanaugh comes from WSB in Atlanta, while Kathryn Burcham joins from WSOC in Charlotte.

Kavanaugh posted to her facebook page, “I’m thrilled to announce in January I’ll return to Boston, joining the new Cox Media Group station, WFXT, as an investigative reporter.”

Before coming to WSB, Kavanaugh worked at WFTS in Tampa. She also worked at WHO in Des Moines, Iowa. She started her career in Bozeman, Mont.
