Alexis Rogers Joins KARE as Noon Anchor and Community Relations Manager

Alexis Rogers has joined Minneapolis NBC station KARE as anchor of the Noon News and community relations manager.

Rogers comes from WISH in Indianapolis.

“Alexis exudes kindness, and she works with steadfast authenticity to uncover powerful stories in everyday conversations with the community,” said Stacey Nogy, news director at KARE. “Her community-driven and human approach to journalism is exemplified in all her work and aligns perfectly with KARE 11’s commitment to inclusive reporting and empowering community voices.”

“I am so excited to join the KARE 11 team and immerse myself in the many cultures of the Twin Cities,” said Rogers. “It has always been a dream of mine to combine my passions and profession. This role is a dream come true.”

Rogers began her career at KOMU and NEWSY in Columbia, Mo. She also worked as a reporter in Little Rock, Ark. and as an anchor and reporter Cincinnati. In Cincinnati, Rogers conceptualized and spearheaded a news magazine show called Let’s Talk Cincy focusing on deep storytelling, community solutions, and educational journalism.

Rogers is the spouse of KARE sports director, Reggie Wilson, whom she met at the University of Missouri.
