WFOX-WJAX news director Lisa Blegen is leaving the Jacksonville, Florida Fox and CBS affiliate on November 22.
“I’ve been fortunate to work in journalism for 33 years and spend 11 of those years with CMG,” she said in an email obtained by Rick Gevers. “But nothing is more important than family. My parents are in their 80’s. After spending time with my folks in Northern Minnesota in August, I want to see them more often during their final years.”
She’s worked at the station since 2021. Before that, she was assistant news director and managing editor at KIRO in Seattle for nearly 7 years. She started her career as a morning anchor at KLDH in Topeka, Kansas.
