David Bernard is joining New Orleans Fox affiliate WVUE as a meteorologist.
This is a return to New Orleans for Bernard. He worked at CBS affiliate WWL for eight years. His last local TV gig was at WFOR in Miami where he was chief meteorologist. He left the CBS-owned station in 2013.
“I don’t think there is anyone more qualified than David to join our team,” said WVUE chief meteorologist Bob Beck. “In Southeast Louisiana, the weather can mean the difference between life and death. We take our responsibility as broadcasters very seriously and David’s knowledge and experience with severe weather coupled with his commitment to our community makes David a tremendous asset to our weather team.”
Bernard has also worked at KJRH in Tulsa, Okla., KVII in Amarillo, Texas and KZTV in Corpus Christi, Texas.
