Morning Show Ratings: Week of June 10

By A.J. Katz

There was a split decision in the morning show ratings race, with Good Morning America holding strong as the most-watched morning show. NBC’s Today remained No. 1 in the key A25-54 demo.

GMA earned a big win among total viewers, beating Today by +228,000, the morning show’s largest advantage in nearly one year. GMA ranked No. 1 on Friday (6/14/19) in all relevant categories, leading Today in total viewers (+579,000) and adults 25-54 (+54,000).

Season to date, GMA is the No. 1 morning newscast in total viewers for the 7th straight year after finishing as the No. 1 morning newscast for the last 6 seasons.

CBS This Morning, on the other hand, had its lowest-rated week since re-launch among total viewers and adults 25-54.

Versus the comparable week in 2018, ABC was flat in total viewers, NBC was -2% , while CBS was -4%. In the A25-54 demo, ABC was -4%, NBC -8% and CBS -11% vs. the comparable week last year.
