Mika Brzezinski: ‘Why Are We Allowed to Have These Weapons?’

In an extended discussion of gun laws on Morning Joe, MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski asked why the law allows Americans to own military assault rifles like the AR-15. “Can’t the government say, it’s inappropriate to have these massively powerful weapons?”

“There are things we’re not allowed to have,” said Brzezinski. “Why are we allowed to have these weapons that blow up–literally blow up animals if you were to go hunting with them?”
