FNC’s Brian Wilson’s Lessons: You Can’t Always Believe The Blogs, And…

By Brian

On Sunday’s Weekend Live, FNC anchor Brian Wilson — accused of shouting and interrupting reporters at a Dean photo-op, then cursing at a Washington Post reporter — ended the letters segment with a question from Cathy in New York: “Brian, Is it true that Sen. [Dick] Durbin [D-IL] called you a ‘Moose?'” Wilson’s response:

“Yes, that is true. Though I told my boss Brit Hume that I always considered myself to be more of a Gazelle. This was also a week of lessons for me. I learned that you cannot believe everything you read in the blogs — and that incorrect things that enter the blogosphere reverberate around the internet to the point that they eventually get reported as fact by so-called legitimate news organizations. I also learned that if a stranger comes up to you and demands to know who you are — it’s best to find out if that person is a Washington Post reporter before you go with your first response.”
