Dan Rather Expects To Stay At CBS News, Agent Says

Today’s New York Post references Sunday’s TVNewser question-mark about Dan Rather‘s future at CBS News.

“Dan fully intends to fulfill his contract at CBS and expects to be there beyond January,” Rather’s agent Richard Leibner says. And “industry sources say that Rather is not currently looking for another job, nor has he been told by CBS that they’re going to let him out of his contract,” Michael Starr reports.

And Rather isn’t talking to CNN, TVNewser has confirmed. Still, Les Moonves’ use of past-tense — and all the tongue-wagging from Rather’s colleagues — has left observers wondering how long he will continue corresponding for ’60 Minutes…’
