The second Disney+ Day is being celebrated by AMC Theatres with discounted showings of popular Disney, Marvel and Pixar films.
Starting Sept. 8 on Disney+ Day 2022 through Sept., five fan favorites will return to select AMC Theaters. The films getting re-released are Encanto, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Newsies, Cars and Thor: Ragnarok.
All moviegoers can attend Disney+ Fan-Favorite Screenings at AMC Theatres for $5 per ticket (plus tax), with or without a Disney+ subscription. While supplies last, every ticket comes with a free Disney+ poster. Disney+ subscribers may also get a fountain drink and a popcorn combo for an extra $5 (plus tax).
All five movies are available to watch at home now on Disney+, which will drop new content on the streamer on Disney+ Day. Along with the premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder, new movies and shows will be available starting this week. This includes the documentaries Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return and Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder, a new short from The Simpsons, the Dancing With the Stars: The Pros’ Most Memorable Dances special and Frozen and Frozen 2 sing-along versions.
