Wondering how to pass the time until the first episode of Game of Thrones season seven airs? HBO and Vintage Wine Estates have formed a partnership to produce Game of Thrones-themed wines.
According to Food and Wine magazine, three wines have been created: a red blend, a cabernet sauvignon, and a chardonnay. These alcoholic beverages will be released in March 2017.
Here’s more from Entertainment Weekly: “As your favorite characters get brutally killed off over the course of the roller coaster final seasons of the Emmy-winning series, you can numb the pain with glasses of delicious on-brand libations. Though they don’t have much in common, Cersei and Tyrion would both doubtlessly approve of such a strategy. HBO has actually had a licensed beer vendor since the show’s second season, so it’s perhaps surprising the series has taken this long to add a line of wines.” (via mental_floss)
