By Christine Zosche

For the first time since November 2017, Twitter users have a way to apply for the sacred blue checkmark that signifies verification, cachet and clout, as the social network began rolling it out worldwide Thursday. (Adweek)

To request verification, users will need to go to their Account tab, and select “Request verification.” Then, they will be prompted to provide information about themselves and their accounts. (Mashable)

To make the grade for verification, users will have to meet Twitter’s revamped verification criteria, which includes having an account of public interest that falls under one of six different types of categorizations as well as being “authentic, notable, and active.” (The Verge)
