-When Yahoo Answers closed permanently in April, KFC decided to use the shuttering to its advantage. Ogilvy Miami and Argentina found that the last question asked on the site was one trying to find KFC’s secret recipe of 11 spices, and they spun that into a video ad that plays up the search and teases that the answer can only be found at KFC restaurants.

-Marketing and communications agency Shadow has become the agency of record for media relations and influencer marketing for Bentley Motors. The company will help the high-end auto maker in its push for carbon neutrality, zero waste generation, and a socially just and inclusive community. The company has already committed that every model line will be offered with the option of a hybrid variant by 2023, with Bentley’s first pure electric model to debut launched in 2025.


-As we get ready for Social Media Week (May 4-7), Adweek has released its inaugural Creator Visionary Awards, celebrating innovators and influencers who are leaving an indelible mark on the world with their groundbreaking social media work.

-Musician Travis Scott, who is Adweek’s Creator Visionary of the Year, talked about how he doesn’t like the terms ‘branding’ and ‘marketing.’

-The chief executive officer of AMV BBDO, Sarah Douglas, will step down from the post she has held for more than two years, the agency announced.

-The “G” in iconic Austin agency GSD&M is gone, but definitely not forgotten. GSD&M co-founder Steve Gurasich died in his sleep last week at the age of 73, just months ahead of the Omnicom agency’s 50th anniversary this fall.

-Shapewear brand Shapemint is unveiling a new chief mom officer campaign, shifting the tenor of its messaging from humorous to serious in order to speak to its audience of moms. The mom chosen for the position will be given creative freedom to champion both women and body positivity.

-Mischief co-founder Greg Hahn in an article for The Drum, thinks he has a solution to get more people to get Covid-19 vaccines, and it involves giving credit to a controversial former president.
