Gut Miami Bolsters Creative Department With Slew of New Hires

By Kyle O'Brien

Global independent creative agency Gut Miami has hired Bruno Mazzotti and Dean Paradise as its newest creative director duo to work on Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Popeyes, Tim Hortons and other top clients. Gut Miami was named the agency of record for Popeyes last year.

Mazzotti (pictured, right) and Paradise (pictured, left) were previously at FCB Chicago, creating campaigns for Getty Images, Glad, and Michelob Ultra’s 2019 “Sad Robot” Super Bowl spot, while winning awards including Cannes Lions and Clios.

The duo will report to the agency’s executive creative directors and partners Ricardo Casal and Juan Javier Peña Plaza.

“Seeing our creative department grow so much in the last year alone with amazing talent like Dean and Bruno is a dream come true for us. They kicked off strong by jumping in on multiple, culturally-relevant ideas for our clients so quickly,” the partners said in a statement. “We’re also pumped to see them already becoming amazing mentors to our creative teams.”

In addition to Paradise and Mazzotti, the agency also hired four new associate creative directors: Miguel Cedeño, who was previously at MullenLowe Delta in Ecuador; McDonald Predelus, who was previously at Havas NY; and creative duo Lauren Cooper and Cara Johnson, who join Gut from McCann New York. Gut is also promoting creative pair Willow Ennen and Andrew Gonzalez from junior art directors to art directors.

“To see the creative department growing so much even before the agency turns three in April is incredibly humbling and truly inspiring,” said co-founders Gaston Bigio and Anselmo Ramos said in a statement. “Dean and Bruno immediately kicked off by helping us create bold, gutsy ideas for Popeyes in the last few weeks alone, so it’ll be exciting to see what they’ll be working on next.”
