Black-owned strategy, digital, and creative agency Hero Collective has strengthened its leadership team by hiring Deadra Rahaman as evp of client services and strategy, a newly created position at the agency. Rahaman will oversee all client services across the agency’s growing lifestyle division, which includes accounts including Lenovo, HP Inc., TIAA, Nike, Google, Shell and Jordan Brand.

“I look forward to joining the team at Hero Collective,” said Rahaman in a statement. “In this new role, I will work across our strategy and account teams, providing our clients with innovative solutions that land in culturally driven work for the new majority consumer.”

Rahaman is a 17-year industry veteran who joins Hero Collective after time spent as vp of brand strategy at Huge, and at SpikeDDB, where she also oversaw client services and strategy. In 2021, Rahaman was named an Adweek Women Trailblazer for her continued advocacy for change in the industry.

“I am thrilled to have Deadra join the ranks of Heroes at the agency,” said Joe Anthony, CEO and founder, Hero Collective in a statement. “Deadra has a rare set of skills that are becoming harder to acquire in this industry. She understands culture, the growing importance of winning with diverse audiences, strategic planning and how to put it all together for clients to create winning campaigns.”

Rahaman’s new position is dedicated to supporting the needs of the agency’s clients. Previously, client services fell under the remit of the evp of creative and client services, Sarah Hashim, who departed the agency in April.
