Dave & Buster’s, everyone’s favorite arcade-bar-restaurant hybrid, has tapped Mother New York as its creative agency of record.

According to a Mother spokesperson, the chain previously worked with Offsite, a small independent agency in California.

In February, Dave & Buster’s hired Brandon Coleman III to serve as svp and chief marketing officer.

“We see an immense opportunity to build communications that engage our guests on an emotional level,” he said in a statement. “In addition to delivering entirely new national and region-specific marketing campaigns, we will also begin leveraging our data assets to deliver more personalized messages. We look forward to the connections these new efforts will create with our guests.”

Dave & Busters, headquartered in Dallas, has had a rough go of it lately due to coronavirus. In March, the company closed 137 locations in 39 states, Canada and Puerto Rico, and temporarily furloughed 15,000 employees in response to the pandemic. It recently started reopening its locations again.

“As we continue to reopen more of our locations and bring fun back to the communities we serve, this partnership will enable us to capitalize on technology upgrades, enhanced data analytics and digital marketing investments to drive deeper engagement with our guests,” Brian Jenkins, CEO of Dave & Buster’s, said in a statement.
