Sony Pictures has unleashed the first trailer for the Inferno film adaptation. The story comes from Dan Brown’s 2013 novel; this book is the fourth installment of the Robert Langdon series.

According to Collider, this movie features Tom Hanks reprising the role of Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon. Other cast members include Felicity Jones, Irrfan Khan, and Omar Sy. Ron Howard, the director behind both The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, also returned to take the helm of this project. The theatrical release date has been set for October 28.

Here’s more from Deadline: “Seems Dante’s Nine Circles of Hell have been rearranged, and Langdon is mixed up with some heavy stuff. Thing is, he woke up in an Italian hospital with amnesia and can’t remember why he’s involved. Did he steal Dante’s Death Mask? And why he is having these visions? Although our hero is told that he has no idea what the people behind this are capable of, he continues to dig.” (via Forbes)
