Michelle Howry to Join Hachette Books

Michelle Howry is joining Hachette Books as Executive Editor on July 11.

The veteran book editor has been in the publishing business for 19 years. Most recently she worked as senior editor at Touchstone for Simon & Schuster, prior to that she was senior editor at Hachette. She has also worked at Penguin, McGraw Hill and Newmarket Press.

Howry has worked on books across genre including: self-help, personal finance, psychology, relationships, and health, and narrative nonfiction in categories such as popular history, biography, popular science and technology, as well as some celebrity memoir.

Howry’s most recent bestsellers include: The Girls of Atomic City by Denise Kiernan, What the Dog Knows by Cat Warren, The New Atkins for a New You, and The Stash Plan by Elizabeth Troy and Laura Prepon, among others.
