Universal Pictures has unleashed the first teaser for The Girl on the Train. The video embedded above offers glimpses of Emily Blunt in the role of Rachel Watson.
Here’s more from The Wrap: “Blunt plays Rachel Watson, who witnesses the mysterious disappearance of a woman while on her commute. Allison Janney plays an investigator who connects Rachel to the missing blonde, named Megan Atwell (Haley Bennett). It turns out Megan is the nanny for Rachel’s ex-husband (Justin Theroux) — and he seems awfully chummy with his hired help.”
According to Deadline, the story for this film adaptation comes from Paula Hawkins’ popular thriller novel. Tate Taylor served as the director. The theatrical release date has been scheduled for October 7. (via Book Riot)
