RKCR/Y&R Gets Artful for Marks & Spencer

RKCR/Y&R launched a new addition to its “Art Of” campaign for Marks & Spencer, with a 40-second spot promoting the brand’s fashion offerings.

The stylish spot offers up fast cuts without much in the way of voiceover or text, much like the agency’s “Taste of the British Isles” for the brand in May. After the beginning of the spot, the only text before “Only One Store Does It Like This” is the words “Sustainably Sourced Cotton” appearing on three separate bags. It’s a visually engaging approach, with a wealth of colorful shots advancing at a rapid enough paste that it takes multiple views to notice everything. The cosmic explosion of yarn is an especially memorable moment, but there’s a lot going in the ad, which lives up to the campaign’s “Art Of” title well.
