Talitha Vickers left Winston-Salem, N.C. NBC affiliate WXII to spend more time with her family on Wednesday.
Vickers made the announcement on-air and showed viewers a tribute she put together herself.
She started working at the station in 2013 as a weekend anchor. Vickers started her career at WBOC in Salisbury, Maryland before moving on to WCCB in Charlotte, N.C., WOFL and WESH in Orlando, Florida.

On instagram she posted a look at her VO session for the tribute video she made to say goodbye.
