WNYW anchor Christina Park was so moved after being invited to emcee at an event for a summer camp that helps Korean-Americans and adoptees get in touch with their identity that WNYW sent a news crew out to Sejong Camp and made it into a story.
Park says while going to school as a kid, she hid in the bathroom at lunch because the other kids would laugh at the traditional meals packed by her mom and did the story to let other Korean-American kids know they’re not alone.
The story ran on several of the Fox-owned stations.
