NBC New York sports anchor Bruce Beck is mourning the loss of his mother.
Doris Beck, 91, died this week.
“With tears in my eyes & a broken heart, I say goodbye to my mom, Doris, who is now in heaven after 91 yrs of beauty, grace & dignity. The former Mayor of Livingston, NJ was brilliant, kind & compassionate. Her humanity was unsurpassed. RIP mom – I will love you forever,” he wrote on Twitter.
Beck, a longtime TV anchor in the New York City sports scene, posted a photo of the two of them.
While the timing of her death comes as the pandemic is heating up, there is no indication that Beck contracted the novel coronavrius.
Beck was the first female mayor of Livingston, N.J., a suburb outside of Manhattan.
