WJHL Hires Husband and Wife as Anchors

Curtis McLoud and his wife Sydney Cameron have been hired by Johnson City, Tenn., CBS affiliate WJHL.

Curtis McCloud posted the news on his station Facebook page. “This Wednesday will be my last day at NBC 12. My wife Sydney and I have accepted anchor positions at WJHL CBS News Channel 11 in the Tri-cities market of Johnson City-Kingsport-Bristol.”

Curtis McCloud is a reporter and MMJ at WWBT in Richmond, Va. His wife, who goes by the name Sydney Cameron, works at WRIC as a video journalist. This is a move within Media General for Cameron.

Cameron told viewers on facebook, “After nearly two years of working at 8 News I am leaving to accept a job in Tennessee.” She started at WRIC in December 2013 and worked at WRBL in Columbus, Ga. before that.

Before joining WWBT, McCloud worked at WTVM in Columbus, Ga. He’s also worked at Washington, D.C. PBS affiliate WHUT and WRBL in Columbus, Ga.
