WIS meteorologist Kevin Arnone is leaving the business after nearly ten years.
Arnone has worked at the Columbia, S.C. NBC affiliate since 2018. On social media, he said “If you asked me when I was 8 years old what I wanted to be when I grew up, without missing a beat I’d say ‘A Weather Man.’
“So after 10 years in TV doing what I love, It truly has been a dream come true but it’s time for me to close this chapter in my life and begin a new one,” said Arnone. “It’s a bittersweet decision but I have decided to step away from TV News. My last day at WIS will be on Friday February 24th.”
Arnone started his career at WTNH in Hartford, Ct., in 2014.
He said he is keeping his future plans “private for right now” but promised ot update viewers when he is ready to share.
