TVSpy told you veteran WANE anchor, Heather Herron, was leaving the television news business for a corporate PR job.

After 17 years as the face of the Fort Wayne, IN station, Herron signed off last night.

“You’ve invited me into your home, you have said hi to me at the grocery store. I want you to know I never took your trust in me for granted,” Herron said in a goodbye.

“I am so looking forward to being home in the evening,’ she said. ‘I am so excited for the next chapter.”

Herron accepted a position at Sweetwater, a musical supplies company based in Fort Wayne.
