Tim Barber is leaving Orlando ABC affiliate WFTV next Wednesday.
He’s going to WJLA in Washington, D.C. where he’ll be a Monday through Friday nightside reporter.
“I’m supposed to say how disappointed I am to be losing Tim, but I really am happy to see him get a chance to show Washington, D.C., what he can do,” news director Matt Parcell told the Orlando Sentinel. “Tim showed up from a small Texas market and had to figure out how to report at the level we require. He did it, and he did it very well. We’re glad he was on our team.”
Barber started at WFTV in 2011. He got his start at KAMC in Lubbock, Texas.
