Telemundo to Launch Regional Morning Newscasts in Texas

The Telemundo Station Group is launching a new, two-hour weekday newscast called Noticias Telemundo Texas that will air across five Texas DMAs, beginning September 26.

The regional morning newscast will air Monday to Friday from 5 to 7 a.m. Central on Telemundo KXTX in Dallas-Fort Worth, KTMD in Houston, KVDA in San Antonio, KTLM in Harlingen-McAllen and KTDO in El Paso. Telemundo’s hoyDía national morning show will air an hour later at 7 a.m., instead of 6 a.m., in the markets that will air the new morning newscast.

The anchor team and reporter roster for Noticias Telemundo Texas will be announced soon. The station group also said the Telemundo stations airing the show are currently hiring for behind camera and on-camera roles—and asked anyone interested to “Please visit NBCUniversal’s Careers portal for more information.”
