Telemundo 31 Makes Two New Hires

Telemundo 31 in Orlando, Fla., has hired two new multimedia journalists.

Felix Pirela and Yunaisy Garcia will report for the station’s weekday newscasts at 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 p.m. Pirela will make his debut on June 29. Garcia starts July 16.

“Felix and Yunaisy are hard-working journalists. They share our station’s commitment of delivering our Spanish-language audiences the local news they need and deserve. We’re excited to welcome Felix and Yunaisy to our Telemundo 31 family,” said Roberto Vizcon, vice president of news for Telemundo 31.

Pirela joins Telemundo 31 after working as an anchor at Globovision and as a reporter at Televen. Both stations are located in Venezuela.

Garcia arrives from KSTS in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she worked as a content producer.
