Scripps Sends Texas GM to Norfolk Station

E.W. Scripps Company has named Adam Chase the vice president and general manager of WTKR in Norfolk, Va.

Chase comes from Scripps’ ABC affiliate KXXV in Waco, Texas, and KRHD in Bryan, Texas, where he’s worked as the vp and gm since January 2019. Between 2016 and 2018, he was the vp and gm at Scripps ABC affiliate KERO in Bakersfield, Calif.

“Adam has a record of building stations’ culture and operations to become leaders in the market,” said Scripps’ local media president Brian Lawlor. “His deep experience in broadcasting will help drive WTKR’s continued success.”

Chase, who starts at WTKR on Sept. 6, said he is “very proud” of what his team was able to accomplish in Texas.

“I look forward to continuing my Scripps journey in Norfolk, and I am thankful to be given the opportunity to lead the great team at WTKR News 3,” Chase said.
