The new season of CBS’s Amazing Race includes a couple who will be familiar to Santa Barbara TV viewers.
Kelsey Gerckens and Joe Buttitta are on-air staffers at triopoly KEYT (ABC), KKFX (Fox) and KCOY (CBS) in the Santa Barbara/Santa Maria market. “We work under a deadline where I have to be on TV in five minutes,” says Buttitta in a promotional video. “The stress factor is something we’re comfortable with.” Buttitta is an anchor on KEYT’s morning show while Gerckens is a dayside reporter.
The new season also features two staffers from TMZ, as well as two paparazzi photographers. The new season of Amazing Race debuts Sept. 25.
