San Diego Anchor Grateful to Viewers After Health Scare

KFMB evening anchor Barbara-Lee Edwards is on the mend after a health scare sent her to the hospital on Christmas Eve.

Yesterday, anchor Marcella Lee visited with Edwards to give viewers an update on her condition.

In an on-air segment, which you can watch below, Lee said Edwards still suffers from blurry vision and sensitivity to light, but is grateful to viewers for the well-wishes. When asked about when she will return, Edwards said on social media: “It’s just too soon to say.”

“Getting ‘back to normal’ after suffering a brain bleed in the early hours of Christmas Eve has been a slow process,” Edwards wrote on Faceboook. “I miss my KFMB family, all of whom have been kind, supportive and encouraging. I have also had a lot of beautiful notes from viewers expressing concern, offering prayers and asking when I might return to work. The truth is, it’s just too soon to say.”
