KENS morning anchor Sarah Forgany is in the ICU after complications during recovery from a surgery she underwent on Monday.
Forgany’s family posted an update on Facebook saying she was on a ventilator.
“Sarah ran into complications during her recovery from surgery yesterday morning. She’s currently in ICU on a ventilator. We have no clue how long she will be here – doctors expect her recovery to take weeks,” read the post. “She is in good spirits and keeping the faith, but we would sincerely appreciate all your prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery.”
Forgany has worked at the San Antonio CBS affiliate since 2010.

MySA said Forgany had a medical emergency in Italy in March that “cut [her] vacation short” and was hospitalized when she returned to the United States. She did not disclose the cause for the hospitalization and was released on March 17. It is not immediately clear if the medical complications she is currently hospitalized for are related to her March hospitalization.
