Raycom Announces New President to Replace One Retiring

Pat LaPlatney (pictured right) has been named president and CEO of Raycom Media. He’ll replace retiring president and CEO Paul McTear (left).

LaPlatney currently oversees the station group’s revenue and digital ventures.

In between working at Raycom Sports as svp of programming distribution until 1997 and joining Raycom Media in 2007, LaPlatney worked in senior management roles at Westwood One.

Raycom also promoted Susana Schuler to evp of Content & Operations. She’ll add oversight of research and other operations to her current responsibilities overseeing news, marketing and programming.
