WPIX has lost its longtime sports anchor Scott Stanford.
Stanford, who also hosts a show on the WWE channel, told viewers his last day on the Tribune station in New York was last Thursday.
“It’s been 5 1/2 years of nothing but laughs and new relationships!” he said on his Twitter page.
Stanford posted a number of farewell videos from celebrities he’s interviewed and befriended over the years this past week.
He was the station’s weeknight sports anchor. Prior to that, he anchored the PIX 11 evening news with Tamsen Fadal.
