NPPA Awards San Diego Station Top Honor

San Diego’s ABC affiliate has been named West General Station of the Year by the National Press Photographers Association.

KGTV competed against 13 stations in the region.

“Seven 10News employees were recognized individually in this regional contest, which is just one of many things to be proud of,” said Steve Fedoriska, chief photographer at ABC 10.  “To have such a diverse group of storytellers, all in the same building, shows something very special is happening inside our newsroom.”

Next up, the Scripps-owned San Diego station will compete again Tegna-owned KUSA and Tribune-owned KDVR in Denver, KING in Seattle and KSL in Salt Lake City for the title of Top Station of the Year.
