No Sign Of Fort Myers Anchor On Station Website, Social Media

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

There is no sign of longtime WINK anchor, Rob Spicker, on social media or on the station’s website.

His bio has been removed from the website and his Twitter and Facebook pages, removed. There is no mention of him leaving the station online. A quick check of TVEyes showed he was not on the air this morning.

His LinkedIn page says he’s been the morning show anchor at the CBS-affiliate in Fort Myers, Florida since 2007.

Anchor of a 4 1/2 hour morning newscast on CBS affiliate WINK-TV and CW affiliate WXCW. Helped the lead the newscast to unprecedented ratings success, winning all time periods against our local competition. Consult with and advise morning managers on story selection, breaking news coverage, reporter live shots and rundown management. Deeply involved in the writing of many news stories. Mentored young producers. Led extended live coverage during Hurricane Mathew, the Boston Marathon bombings, the murder of a Fort Myers police officer and other newsworthy events.

TVSpy has reached out to the station for comment.
