A Indianapolis videographer was beaten and bruised this morning.
According to a tweet by WXIN Indianapolis anchor Ray Cortopassi, Eldon Wheeler was shooting solo when he was attacked and beaten unconscious. He suffered broken ribs and other injuries.
“This is Eldon. A good friend and photographer at an Indianapolis TV station. He and I spent many a day together in the trenches. We used to debate each other over musicians’ signature songs. Tuesday night he was on his own when he was attacked by two men after a crash,” Cortopassi said.

Many friends of Wheeler, including anchor-reporter Marc Mullins, weighed in with condolences and talked about their time working with him.
We love Eldon here! One of the nicest guys and always making people laugh. HE DID NOT DESERVE THIS! It breaks my heart.
