New Poll Shows Local TV More Trustworthy Than Social Media for News

By Kevin Eck

While thirty two percent of young Americans polled by The Institute of Politics at Harvard say they never trust the media, they do say they trust local TV news more than social media and Wall Street.

In a survey that covered everything from mental health to the Biden administration’s first 100 days to the future of the Republican Party and the impacts of social media, Facebook was voted the least trustworthy institution out of the 16 presented to the more than 2,5oo young Americans surveyed.

Local newsies can grab the slimmest glimmer of sunshine in the answer to the question “On which of the following, if any, do you regularly access for news and current events related content?”
