Baton Rouge Station Will Be First to Air Sports Betting Shows

A Baton Rouge station will be the first to offer viewers a sports betting show.

ABC affiliate WBRZ will air betting shows on its Plus channel in partnership with sports betting network VSiN, a division of Draft Kings.

“We knew we wanted to get ahead of the legislative process and start to educate our audience on sports betting before it kicks off here in Louisiana,” said WBRZ marketing director Noah Kozinko. “We wanted to find the best in the business to help introduce folks to sports betting and there just wasn’t anyone better than VSiN to do that.”

The partnership makes sports betting shows A Numbers Game and Prime Time Action available over-the-air weekdays from 10-11 a.m. and 8-9 p.m. and also on Saturday from 3-6 p.m.

In March, WISH in Indianapolis said it would begin airing a sports betting show in August after Indiana legalized sports betting in 2019.
