Mobile Meteorologist Says He Doesn’t Plan to Leave Area

WKRG chief meteorologist Alan Sealls took a vacation and isn’t coming back to the station in Mobile, Ala.

The Alabama weatherman made a video announcement on Tuesday afternoon.

“I no longer work at WKRG,” he said in the video, shot in downtown Mobile’s Mardi Gras Park. “We were too far apart on what we both needed. And that’s the way things go. It wasn’t my plan, not what I wanted, but I’m okay with that, that is life.”

Sealls said they couldn’t reach a deal on a new contract.

Here’s his Facebook announcement.
